A Long Time Coming.

Finally I've completed a Lizzie*Kate cross stitch that was started in January 2010, worked on for about 4 months & then relegated to the WIP pile for... Oooooo.... about a year (eek!). I picked it up again a few months ago & got cracking again, determined to have it up this christmas & here it is.

It'll be finished as a wall hanging but alas I won't be doing that part myself. I'm going to be leaving it to the lovely Karen V over at My Favourite Things.... just as soon as I can actually make it to a post office!!!!

Happy stitching :)

Updates

Things have been really busy here at the LisaG house. Mainly because it's the summer holidays & that means keeping 3 year old twins occupied 24/7. It's tiring but I have managed to get some sewing done!!

These blocks are for a Jelly Roll quilt, at the time these were the first 4 of the yellow & cream combination, yesterday at my friend Frans' house I completed a further 8 in this combo :)

This is the quilting on a newborn baby boy quilt, I'm part way through adding the binding. Hopefully this will be available for sale on the Lisa G Creations site shortly.

A small snippet here of the Jelly Roll quilt Speedwell. I've attached all of the borders now & it needs to be sandwiched & quilted. I'll wait until that's complete before I share a picture of the entire quilt.

These are squares that have been cut ready for another newborn baby quilt.

Hope to have more to share with you soon.

Happy stitching :)

Seeing Stars!

This is a mini quilt that I've just completed for my quilt group. It's part of an ongoing project called Chinese Whispers where we all take inspiration for our quilt from another members quilt & that members is the only other quilt you get to lay your eyes on....... that is until November when we have a mini exhibition & we get to see just where inspiriation took us.

Looking at this I think it's a great size for a mini table mat maybe for the centre of a rectangular table or maybe a mat for a mini dresser or coffee table.

I love the colours in the quilt (huge thanks to Franney for assitance with some of these) & the fact that I had at least seven star fabrics in my stash :)
